The Program Director position at Common Health Counseling Group is a leadership role that requires a combination of clinical expertise, organizational skills, and management experience. Here’s a breakdown of the key responsibilities, qualifications, and skills outlined in the job description:

Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

Manage day-to-day operations of Intensive In-home Services, mental health skill-building, and community crisis programs.
Assess service capacity and staffing needs.
Ensure adequate staffing patterns and address resource needs.

Staff Management:

Select, train, and evaluate program staff.
Conduct weekly training for new and existing staff.
Assign cases and duties to program staff.
Address and resolve problems with service delivery and staff relations.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure strict compliance with regulations and statutes.
Oversee evaluations of service effectiveness and efficiency.
Participate in weekly clinical treatment meetings.
Perform monthly quality assurance for clients.
Review and sign off on progress notes, service plans, and other relevant documentation.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with Managing Partners on personnel decisions and compliance.
Coordinate with other service providers and participate in assessment and planning meetings.

Training and Professional Development:

Conduct new hire training and annual training for all employees.
Keep up with Local Human Rights Committee memos and new policies.
Complete required 15 hours of professional training per year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work, preferably LCSW/LPC, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
Four years of experience providing mental health treatment to troubled children and families.
Two years of experience providing clinical supervision to treatment staff.
Two years of progressively responsible experience in program design, development, management, and staff supervision.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to set strategic objectives for a mid-size social service organization.
Skills in program development, design, and budget implementation.
Working knowledge of the human services system and relevant community resources.
Ability to screen, hire, manage, and evaluate staff.
Proficiency in conducting and facilitating meetings.
Knowledge of individual and family counseling principles and techniques.
Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Successful completion of background checks and required screenings.

Crisis Stabilization Counselor

The primary function of the Full-Time Crisis Stabilization Counselor is to provide one on one behavioral support to enable individuals with significant functional limitations to achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the most appropriate, least restrictive environment. Services would be provided for up to 15 days.

Location of Position: Richmond, Chester, and surrounding areas

Travel Required: 100% of this position requires travel

Caseload: Counselors are assigned one client and are expected to provide one on one behavioral support a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Hours: 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field from an accredited college or university. The QMHP-C or QMHP-A must have at least one year of direct clinical experience and basic knowledge of the DSM V diagnosis of mental health. Applicants must provide a satisfactory driving record.

**All applicants must be able to present QMHP status with the VA Board of Counseling or have the ability to obtain attestation from previous employment in the mental health field.
